Revised Terms of Business and Safety Measures introduced during COVID19 Pandemic – January 2022

Although there is no requirement for our customers to be fully vaccinated, all Core Zone staff and instructors who regularly work in The Core Zone are fully vaccinated against COVID 19. Any client who is not comfortable returning to our studios is welcome to participate in our online classes available Wednesdays at 18:30 – book here

To reduce personal contact in reception we ask clients pay in advance for a full course via card payment over the phone when reception is manned. Due to the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and our inability to guarantee regular courses we are unable to offer a Standing Order payment option.

Clients MUST sanitise their hands prior to entering the studio at the sanitising points positioned at our reception entrance.

You are also encouraged to use any of the sanitising points available around the building to help us reduce infection risk in high contact areas.

Clients must leave belongings safely in their car and bring only minimal outdoor clothing into the studio. Plastic baskets will be provided for each client to place a small coat and shoes only.

Although we don’t want to make it compulsory, to minimise infection, and if you feel comfortable, we recommend wearing a mask during class.

Instructors will wear appropriate PPE whilst teaching and moving around the building.

Socks must be worn at all times, and if you feel more comfortable wearing protective gloves please do so.

As originally recommended in Government guidelines we observe social distancing rules and have set the mats out in the studio to observe that rule until advised otherwise.

Instructors will only provide tactile cues if agreed with the client and following hand sanitisation.

We request clients arrive promptly for class, no more than 5 minutes before start time. If you do arrive earlier, please remain in your car until the reception door is opened by a member of staff.

Classes will begin on time and late comers will no longer be admitted. We can only issue refunds for individually purchased classes or special events, we are unable to refund missed classes if they are part of a course booking.

However, we understand sometimes it is just impossible to attend, and for those exceptional circumstances, provided we are notified in advance, we will email a pre-recorded Pilates session to replace a maximum of 3 missed classes in any single 8 week course.

We require all clients to leave their class promptly to allow the team to perform a thorough clean in preparation for the next class.

We are only as safe as our weakest link. Please stay at home if you are feeling sick – even if you think it is just allergies. Please do not attend class if you recently associated with someone showing coronavirus symptoms.

If you book ANY session, be it classes or private tuition with any of our instructors and /or therapists it is assumed you have read and agreed the terms and conditions, accepted our cancellation policies and are happy to abide by them.

Privacy & Security Policy

Personal information we obtain from you for our records is kept secure. Only authorised employees, agents and contractors (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information. All emails and newsletters from our site allow you to opt out of further mailings. The Core Zone will never sell trade, rent, exchange or otherwise share your personal information with any other person, company or organisation. You can read our full Data Privacy Policy here

Online Classes

Live-streamed classes are offered to existing Core Zone clients who have previously completed a medical questionnaire, enabling us to teach safely and provide more individual guidance where needed. Personal corrections will not be offered during these streamed classes, but there will be general cued corrections throughout to keep you focused on alignment and comfort. Options for difficulty levels will be suggested, as in our regular Pilates classes. However, please for your own safety, practice within your safe limit without strain, popped bellies or transferred pain.

We want our online classes to be as easy as possible for our customers to access, please take a moment to read these guidelines before signing up, to avoid any delays at the start of a class. To access our online classes you will need a smart phone, iPad or laptop and be signed up to either online or via an app. Zoom is a free service and only takes a minute to sign up. Please join the session 5 minutes prior to the stated start time to allow for initial greetings and a settling period. Please mute your microphone when asked. Please set yourself up in a child, pet and obstruction free space. Please have to hand a dining chair, towel, cushion, a glass of water and a big smile!

Please read this section carefully. If an existing medical condition changes during the time we are operating online classes, please inform us of any concerns before you book a class. This is to help us ensure we teach you safely without any contraindications to your issues. Please refrain from sharing any booking link or class invitation with any third party, this is for insurance reasons and participants safety. Existing clients do not need to complete a Medical Questionnaire to participate in online classes, as we will have already gone through a medical questionnaire to be able to teach you safely and provide tailored alternative exercises where needed. If you have a friend or relative that would like to join our online classes please ask them to contact The Core Zone before booking, so a member of the team can go through a medical questionnaire with them and discuss any concerns associated with participating in a class.

Studio Classes

To keep your space in any class we must have payment in full at the beginning of each term.

We are only human, and on very rare occasions your regular instructor may change. Any permanent change will be emailed to those attending the class affected. All classes are pre booked and paid for in advance.  We ask you pay for the full term, for the class you have requested and confirmed with your instructor. We do try to be as accommodating as possible, but if you fail to attend a class for more than three weeks without prior notice, for any reason, your place on that block of classes will be lost. However, we will always endeavour to contact you to confirm you wish rebook your place in the future.

There are no refunds for missed classes for any reason, and due to the excessive amount of administration involved we cannot carry-over missed classes to another term.  See our Refunds section below for more information.

Current prices and policies are subject to change at any time.  All changes will be noted on the website giving you at least two months notice.

Please arrive on time for your class.  Late comers disturb the flow of class.  Please turn off your mobile phones or put them on vibrate near you in class if you absolutely have to for emergencies

One to One Sessions

Your booking agreement is with the individual Instructor. The Terms and Conditions and the cancellation policy still apply to any session booked with any Instructor.

Payment is due on the day of the session or earlier by debit or credit card, cheque or cash.

If you cancel a booked session with less than 24 hours notice, or fail to turn up you must pay in full for the session.

If you are late for your session we cannot allow your session to overrun as there may be others booked in following you, or the teacher/therapist may have other commitments.  As with all sessions, teachers may change due to illness or unavailability.

Drop-in Sessions

We don’t run drop-in classes, because we keep the numbers small so we can be hands on with you. We see the same groups each week helping us get to know you and understand your needs. Keeping class members consistent helps with group familiarity, which in turn promotes relaxation.

Please respect and understand why we run the classes the way we do.  We want to give you the best experience we can by teaching you how to exercise effectively with a highly qualified, motivated teacher who works hard to make sure you have an appropriate exercise prescription for your needs, within a small class.

If you book our classes we assume that you have read and understood these terms and conditions.

Cancellations & Refunds

We retain the right to cancel any of our classes without prior notice. We assure you this will only happen in extreme emergencies and we will usually notify you in advance if a class cannot take place, and offer you a reasonable alternative.

We appreciate, when life is busy, it can be difficult to attend every single class, but due to the fact we have a substantial waiting list for our classes and the excessive level of admin changing classes and issuing refunds can create, unfortunately we are unable to issue refunds for any missed classes.

If you book ANY session, be it classes or private tuition with any of our instructors and /or therapists it is assumed you have read and agreed the terms and conditions, accepted our cancellation policies and are happy to abide by them.
