improve spinal alignment with Pilates at The Core Zone

Keeping your spine healthy

Did you know, when your spine is compact and inflexible it can affect how your internal organs function?

For instance…When the 5 lower back vertebrae (your ‘lumbar’ vertebrae) is inflexible possible subluxation may occur (in other words your vertebrae is out of alignment).

This misalignment reduces the brain’s ability to send clear signals to your bowel and bladder. As a result you may notice issues with bowel and bladder elimination, bloated belly, build up of gases or frequent urination. Lethargy can then set in and you are left feeling constantly sluggish.

Attending just one Pilates class a week and getting into the routine of performing a few basic Pilates exercises at home, such as a roll-down, can help to maintain spinal alignment and avoid lumbar compaction.
